Who writes this stuff?
My name is Irene Lucier. I started this blog as something of a record of the ins and outs learned as an emerging photographer. I hope it becomes a melting pot of all the various bits and pieces of insight gained through the experience of starting and staying. I hope it proves useful to you.
I work in portraiture, and the insights I offer are based on this. There several advertising photographers who very generously blog about the details of running a commercial photography business, so this blog will leave that to them and keep to the personal portraiture side of things. Not to say they are mutually exclusive – personal vs commercial – the concepts can be identical, and the implementation is as variable as the photog.
